Sajjangarh BIOLOGical PArk

Location: Foothills of Sajjan Garh Palace, Udaipur


Client: Wildlife Dept, Rajasthan & RSRDC.


Site Area: 3,00,000sqm


Biological park housing primates, ungulates, lion, tiger, leopard, canids, crocodiles and alligators. 


The site was with a steep contour and had a deciduous tree cover. Enclosures were designed to give comfort to the animal as a natural habitat, as well as designed to enable the visitor to experience the natural habitat barrier-free. The holding areas were designed to merge in the landscape or hide from the visitors.

A separate service path runs parallel to the visitor's path, hidden from view and connects with a nutrition centre and a small veterinary facility.
